Client: Maxim Integrated Products
Project: Packaged Index Card
Problem: Maxim Integrated Products approached Far Western Graphics on a very challenging project that three other printers failed to produce a solution. This very unique project was a marketing piece that was going to be distributed globally to new clients, and due to the turn time requested it was nearly impossible to complete the finished product unless every stage of this project went according to plan.
Solution:As always our production team went into action to tackle this most delicate and precise piece, making a few out of the box suggestions to Maxim on cost cutting and time saving methods. The impact and results were impeccable! We received an email in response to the one-off proof which read, wanted to touch base with you on the package index cards as it was recently shown to our CTO, and he loved it! He wants to place another order for 2,000 more on top of the 5,000 that are currently in production.
Specifications:4 ½”x 3 ½” packaged index card printed 4/4 on 16pt C2S with 21 individual IC chips hand glued to an exact position. Some of the smaller chips had to be placed and glued with tweezers under magnification. The finished cards were then inserted individually into a clear cello custom envelope.
